HOMELAND HERITAGE CHRISTMAS Travel back in time and experience a Florida Heritage Christmas at Homeland Heritage Park December 19, 10:00 a.m. 'til 9:00 p.m. Where: Homeland Heritage Park 249 Church Avenue, Homeland, Florida. FREE ADMISSION The park will be filled with historical demonstrators, re-enactors, store keepers, artisans and trades people depicting early Florida pioneer living. Acitivities planned include the following: Continuous performances by Florida musicians in the Old Homeland Methodist Church (1887) Ladies Tea and Afternoon Cotillion in the Schoolhouse (1878) Storytelling in the English family's log cabin (1878) The 39th nC Co. K, 2nd Battalion Hardy's Brigade Civil War Battle dipicting "The Skirmish at Bow Legs Creek" (April 7, 1864) Hay Rides; Hands-on Children's Activities; A visit from Santa

Calendar of Events MARCH 3/11/10 Spaghetti Dinner Lions Club 3/18/10 Business meeting Lions Club 3/20/10 KAHS Heritage Day Celebration-Heritage Park Business meetings are held Sept.- May the 3rd Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM at the Lions Club. There are no business meetings in the summer months of June, July & August. |
